Anthony “Tony” Plaisance, 83, a native of Gheens and a resident of Raceland, passed away on May 8, 2013 at 9:55 p.m.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, May 11 at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews with a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Raceland.
He is survived by son, Nicki Plaisance and wife Kimra; daughter, Brenda Hunt and husband Ron; brother Gilbert Plaisance and sisters, Velma Arabie, Esther Rodrigue, Elsie Matherne; 4 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Velma Plaisance; parents, Alexis and Amelia Dufrene Plaisance; brothers, Levi Plaisance, Lenest Plaisance and sisters, Vesta Badeaux, Earline Orgeron, Nezy Orgeron, Hazel Allemand, Clemence Falgout, Edith Plaisance, Lorena Dufrene and Edna Dufrene.
