Another arrest in shooting of pregnant woman
GONZALES, La. (AP) — A LaPlace woman accused of a role in the attempted slaying of a pregnant woman and her unborn child has surrendered to authorities.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Tiffany Victor was booked Monday on counts of being an accessory after the fact to attempted first-degree feticide and accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder.
The Advocate reports Victor is the girlfriend of 27-year-old Cowan Collins, of Hammond, the man deputies say shot 25-year-old Kenyia Houston, of Gonzales, last week outside her home. She was eight months pregnant.
In a news release Monday, deputies did not explain the extent of Victor's alleged involvement in the shooting.
