Anna Mae Guidry, 93, was born in Donaldsonville, LA on Friday, September 29, 1922 and passed away at home in Golden Meadow, LA on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Friday, August 12 from 9 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Pitre and Barbara Danos; sister, Joyce Melancon; grandchildren, Kevin (Lotta) Pitre, Penny (Wayne Lombas) Pitre, Crystal Hodge, Laurie Blanchard (Jerry Autin) Jordan, Craig Blanchard’ great grandchildren, Ashley (Lance) Delatte, Brooke (Kevin Cadiere) Pitre, Brock (Lainey Hebert) Pitre, Dustin (Terri Dupuy) Pitre, Desiree Pitre, Heidi Hodge, Beau Blanchard, Nicholas Blanchard; great great grandchildren, Brynn Delatte, Zayden Cadiere, Willow Pitre, Logan Hebert, Demi Pitre, Khyron Pitre, Cole Charpentier, Khobi Lewis, Bryan Pitre, Alex Lopez, Brody Lopez, Caden Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludovic “Dovic” Guidry; parents, Luce and Ernest, Sr. Morris; sisters, Ethel Cheramie, Lucille Davis, Irma Johnson; son-in-laws, Wilkie Pitre and Clemille “C.J.” Danos, Jr.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church. A member of Ladies of LaSallette, Ladies Alter Society, Ladies of Help Ministry, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Homemakers Club of Golden Meadow and Red Hat Ladies of Golden Meadow.
