4th Annual Jingle on the Bayou gets the holiday season going

Offers chance to win a pair of Saints tickets

The ladies at Merle Norman in Larose are bringing the holidays to the bayou early this year! So, dust off your holiday spirit, grab your friends and head out to the fourth annual Jingle on the Bayou Friday, November 16th beginning at 10 a.m.

The Christmas inspired open house will offer something for everyone! Local vendors, music, refreshments, giveaways, specials, and a scavenger hunt where one lucky entrant will win the grand prize, a pair of Saints tickets along with a parking pass for the Saints vs. the Falcons at the Superdome on November 22nd.

Parents be sure and bring the kids! In addition to arts and crafts children will have an opportunity to get a picture with Santa from 3 to 6 p.m. by Gabryell Forse Photography.

JOTB, which has grown in popularity over the years, will feature more than twenty local vendors at four locations between Larose and Cut Off. We spoke to MNL owner, Rayni Spaulding who explained why it was important to include local vendors as a part of their event.

Rayni explained, “Here at Merle Norman we are a family. Our family work goal is always to be better than we were yesterday. In society today, people focus on trying to be better than everyone else, so this year we are trying to promote unity. We want to see the community come together and support each other. Spending money within the community helps the area thrive and is a big part of that unity.”

Spaulding said she and Nikki Terrebone, MNL Manager, will continue their vision to incorporate the talented people in the community with their salon’s Holiday Open house each year. Their shared vision does not stop there. In addition to promoting talented local vendors the Salon will be accepting new toy donations on behalf of CASA of Lafourche.

CASA holds a special place in the hearts of those at MNL.

“There are so many kids in our parish that are currently in Foster Care or group homes, and we want to make sure they have as many blessings as our own children have. We love giving back and supporting our community and would like to encourage more people to do the same,” said Rayni.

For those interested in participating in the scavenger hunt, arrive early enough to visit each vendor, which is a requirement! Vendor booth locations will include Lil Sweet Pea’s Boutique, Lil Boujee Boutique, and Audrey’s Florist/Premier Stitching, all in Cut Off and of course Merle Norman in Larose. Completed scavenger forms will need to be handed in at MNL no later than 6:30 p.m. to be entered in the Saints ticket giveaway.

All participants will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize, a pair of Saints tickets! Entrants who complete the scavenger hunt and turn in their form will also receive a swag bag of goodies, while supplies last! The gift bag includes discount coupons to several of the vendors and sample products!

Guys who attend but may not be privy to utilizing the items in the swag bag should keep in mind that their wife, sister, mother, or daughter would probably be elated to receive something like that from you! The goodies could also make great stocking stuffers for her!

“We will also be giving out door prizes which are being donated from several of our vendors and MNL. Merle Norman will also have wonderful holiday specials on services such as HydraFacial's, Novalash Eyelash Extensions, PERK Facials, and hair services! Also, find out about our NEW upcoming service Microneedling,” stated Spaulding.

Jingle on the Bayou begins at 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, November 16th at the Merle Norman Salon located at 13418 W Main Street in Larose.

In the event of inclement weather, the date will be rescheduled for Friday, November 30th at the same time. For more information contact 985-798-7766.
